This list is provided as a public service and should not be construed as a Clearinghouse recommendation of any one agency. Prospective adoptive families should always check with the state licensing specialist, the State Attorney General's office, and the local Better Business Bureau (Website: http://www.bbb.org) in the state where an agency operates to determine if any complaints have been filed by other applicants. Local adoptive parent support groups can also usually provide useful information on agencies and their programs. Additionally, be sure to find out the rules and regulations of your official U.S. State of residence (where you vote, have a driver's license, etc.) and satisfy them.
